Medical Research Software Platform
A leading ontology provider needed to upgrade their medical research software to handle the complexity of modern pharmaceutical research. The legacy system lacked advanced search capabilities, required extensive manual data handling, and couldn't keep pace with the growing volume of research data. Researchers needed a more efficient way to search, annotate, and analyse documents whilst maintaining data accuracy and compliance.
We upgraded the medical research software with deep AI and data science expertise, creating an advanced search system for web and mobile with intelligent search, annotation, and submission features. We integrated GPT versions and developed a custom LLM to improve search precision and speed. Our data science team automated dynamic dashboard creation for streamlined pharmaceutical data visualisation and analysis. We also integrated ontologies into the legacy lab management system, automating document analysis and improving data accuracy. The platform now features query and analysis capabilities powered by GPT technology, allowing researchers to analyse documents collectively, ask specific questions, and receive summaries. We modernised the legacy system by overhauling outdated code, optimising data processing, and implementing robust back-end functionalities. The custom LLM enables users to input queries in natural language for a more intuitive experience, whilst continuous data integration leverages Google Cloud Functions to keep dashboards up-to-date and relevant for researchers.
